Lead SEND Teaching Assistant - Creative, Inclusive School in Finchley

Salary: £95 - £115 per day (PAYE)

SANZA Teaching Agency is partnering with a large, inclusive, and creative primary school in Finchley to recruit a Lead SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND TA to take on a leadership role within the KS1 department, supporting students with diverse needs in a well-structured, nurturing environment.

About the Role:

Supporting students with SEND needs in KS1, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
Leading small group interventions and providing one-to-one support to pupils with individual education plans (IEPs).
Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best support for students.
Implementing sensory-friendly strategies to help pupils engage in learning.
Encouraging independence and confidence in students through structured learning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum one year of experience working with SEND students, particularly in KS1.

A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
