Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Islington - Start After Easter

SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to recruit a Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant for a supportive and friendly primary school in the heart of Islington. This is a full-time role starting after the Easter break (21st April 2025) and running until July 2025.

The Role:

We are looking for a Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a child with additional needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and proactive, ensuring the child can fully engage with their learning in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Details:

• Position: Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant

• Start Date: 21st April 2025

• End Date: July 2025

• Hours: 08:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

• Daily Rate: £90-£95 per day, with a pay rise after 12 weeks

• Location: Islington

Requirements:

• Previous SEND experience is essential

• Year 1 or KS1 experience is preferred but not essential

• Ability to support a child with SEND needs, adapting learning strategies accordingly

• Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and SENCOs

• Enthusiasm, dedication, and a passion for supporting children with SEND
