About the Role - Year 5 Teacher / KS2 Teacher

This is a full-time position for a skilled KS2 Teacher who can confidently take on full classroom responsibilities in a supportive, team-oriented setting. The school is looking for a passionate and organised Year 5 Teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute to the collaborative planning and assessment process.

You'll be working alongside another experienced Year 5 Teacher, sharing ideas and resources to ensure engaging and creative teaching across the year group.

Key Responsibilities - KS2 Teacher / Year 5 Teacher:

Teach a Year 5 class following the National Curriculum
Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons as a committed Year 5 Teacher
Work collaboratively with your parallel KS2 Teacher to share planning and best practice
Monitor and support pupil progress across a range of abilities
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Engage with parents and carers effectively to support learning

This KS2 Teacher role is ideal for those with strong behaviour management, creativity in teaching, and a clear understanding of age-related expectations in Year 5.

The Ideal Year 5 Teacher / KS2 Teacher Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have prior experience as a Year 5 Teacher or KS2 Teacher
Be confident planning and delivering the KS2 curriculum
Bring energy, creativity, and structure to lessons
Be reflective, organised, and open to feedback
Show strong communication skills and a positive classroom presence
